Easy Fondant Recipe

Mint Juleps 'n Muddin': How to make Fondant Recipe

Make your own fondant

Fondant Recipe
16 oz. mini marshmallows
2 lbs. powdered sugar (sifted)
1 tbsp. water
1 tsp. corn syrup

Put marshmallows and water in microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 2 min or until all marshmallows are puffed. Grease a spoon with shortening. You can now add color, flavoring and corn syrup to marshmallows and stir. Then, add in sugar a little at a time. When sugar no longer stirs into marshmallows, turn out on powdered sugar covered board and knead in rest of sugar. Store in Ziploc, squeezing out all air. Good for about 30 days, after that it becomes lumpy. Allow to cool before using on cakes. Costs about $4.00 to make. Huge savings over the cost of store bought and my family says it taste better.
